PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Virginia’s Julia Elbaba (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) and the tandem of Li Xi (Kunming, China) and Stephanie Nauta (Galveston, Texas) were eliminated from the main draw Thursday (Oct. 3) at the 2013 Riviera/ITA All-American Championships at the Riviera Tennis Club.

Elbaba, who advanced to the singles final last season as a freshman, lost 6-3, 7-6(4) to Auburn’s Pleun Burgmans in the round of 32. Elbaba will play Florida’s Sofie Oyen in consolation action Friday.

In main draw doubles action, Xi and Nauta were eliminated 8-7(2) by Duke’s Ester Goldfeld and Annie Mulholland in the round of 32. Xi and Nauta will play Rice’s Dominique Harmath and Natalie Beazant in consolation play tomorrow.

Virginia’s Caryssa Peretz (Cherry Hill, N.J.) and Marie Faure (Toulouse, France) will compete in singles and doubles at the Northwestern Invite on Oct. 4-6.
