Virginia men’s soccer forward Darius Madison joins the Wahoo Central chat room at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Madison earned National and ACC Player of the Week honors this week after scoring both Virginia goals in a 2-0 win at No. 2 Notre Dame last Saturday.
Madison and the No. 11 Cavaliers play host to No. 23 North Carolina at 7 p.m. Friday at Klöckner Stadium in a key game in the ACC standings.

| Nicole: Who is your celebrity crush? |

Darius Madison: My celebrity crush would definitely have to be Sydney Leroux. She’s one of the forwards for the women’s national team. |

| Carly: Congrats on the POW honors! What made you choose Virginia? |
|
|
Darius Madison: Definitely the academics and the soccer of course. The facilities are great and the coaches made me feel like I was at home. |
|
|
| Ashley: What has been the key to the team’s unbeaten streak? |
|
|
Darius Madison: The key to it has been our level of focus and the confidence that we’re building from each game. |
|
|
| Donald (Richmond): Darius, what are you going to be for Halloween? |
|
|
Darius Madison: I haven’t decided yet. Anybody have any suggestions? I won’t decide anything until after the game tomorrow. |

| John (C’ville”: Are there any unique nicknames given to any of your teammates? |
|
|
Darius Madison: The coaches called me little D last year and once I proved myself on the field they said they would go back to my regular nickname D.

| Mason (Charlottesville): Would you agree that Candy Corn is the worst “candy” in the history of ever? |

Darius Madison: I would 100% agree that candy corn is the worst candy ever. It’s a waste. It’s a poor creation. |

| Joey: What is your favorite professional sports team? |
|
|

| Mario (RVA): If you weren’t playing soccer, what sport would you play? |
|
|
Darius Madison: I’d play basketball because that was my first love. I played until the ninth grade but I didn’t reach my growth spurt by then so I gave up on it. |

| Murray (Charlottesville): What UVa sporting events do you like to attend when you’re not playing soccer? |
|
|
Darius Madison: Women’s soccer games. I really enjoy watching them play and a lot of my friends are on the team. |

| Megan (Charlottesville): What is your favorite place on Grounds besides Klockner? |
|
|
Darius Madison: I really like Clemons Library. It’s really peaceful. When I go there I feel really relaxed. |

| Martin: Who is your favorite girl on the uva womens soccer team? |
|
|
Darius Madison: I’m really good friends with all the second year players. I really couldn’t choose a favorite. |
|
|
| Boston Strong: After you scored the second goal against ND you ran over to the bench. Tell us about that and what was going through your mind at the time. |

Darius Madison: I was really excited and I thought that gave us enough momentum to win the game. After I scored that goal, getting a third goal was on my mind. |

| Rob (cvlle): What is embarrassing fact about yourself? |
|
|
Darius Madison: I peed my pants once when I was on the mound pitching during a little league baseball game. I go back and laugh about it. |

| pow booey: Do you have any pre game rituals |
|
|
Darius Madison: I have a rosary that I got from Italy and I say the Hail Mary and Our Father twice. I do the sign of the cross before I step out on the field. |

| Chase from Ivy: My son just began playing youth soccer. What advice would you have for him so that he gets the most out of this experience? |
|
|
Darius Madison: While it’s still early, work on your technique and the fundamentals. From there he’ll have a wonderful experience playing the game. |
|

| Kyle (Charlottesville): What were your goals for this season? Have you reached those goals yet? |
|
|
Darius Madison: Coming in I wanted 10+ goals, ACC First Team and of course to win a national championship. The season is not over so hopefully I’ll reach all these goals. |

| Tori (Durham): What are you planning on majoring in? |
|
|

| Greg (Cville): Two-parter: Favorite Halloween costume you wore as a kid and what’s your favorite Halloween candy now as a college student? |

Darius Madison: My favorite Halloween costume was a red Power Ranger. My favorite candy as a college student is a fight between Skittles and Sour Patch Watermelons |
