GREENSBORO, N.C.—Virginia sophomore diver Katie Warburg has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Female Diver of the Week, as announced by the conference Tuesday (Nov. 12).

Warburg, a native of Wilton, Conn., finished second on the 3-meter springboards against No. 6 Texas, No. 25 Penn State and West Virginia with a score of 313.80, just off her own Virginia school record of 316.05, qualifying for the NCAA Zone Championships. She also placed seventh on the 1-meter boards with a score of 244.28.

This is the second weekly conference award for Warburg, who also was named ACC Female Diver of the Week on Jan. 22, 2013 for her efforts against ACC rivals North Carolina and Duke.

The Cavaliers return to action Nov. 22-24 when they travel to Columbus, Ohio, for the Ohio State Invitational, which will feature Virginia, Florida, Kentucky, Purdue, as well as the host Buckeyes.
