The Cavaliers opened the game making five of their first eight field goal attempts.

Five different Cavaliers scored UVa’s first five baskets.

Virginia took a 10-9 lead on a jumper by senior guard Kelsey Wolfe, the first of two leads the Cavaliers would hold in the first half. The Cavaliers held a 25-24 lead after a feed from senior guard Ataira Franklin to redshirt freshman guard Raeshaun Gaffney in the low post with 6:49 left in the period.

The first half had four ties and four lead changes.

10 of first 11 baskets for Virginia were scored in the paint. Virginia ended the game scoring 42 points in the paint. Notre Dame scored 38 in the paint.

Sophomore guard Faith Randolph scored nine points in the first half, playing just 10 minutes. She was 4-of-6 from the field in the period. Randolph went 5-of-5 for 12 points in the first nine minutes of the second half.

Randolph ended the game with a career-high 23 points, topping the 22 points she scored earlier this season against Maryland Eastern Shore. Randolph shot10-of-17 from the field, also adding three rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Junior center Sarah Imovbioh had her seventh double-double of the season with 18 points and 12 rebounds going 8-of-12 from the field. Imovbioh scored 12 points with 10 rebounds in the second half.

Senior guard Lexie Gerson scored eight points with five rebounds, four assists, a block and a steal.

Virginia falls to 8-8 (1-2 ACC) while Notre Dame remains perfect at 15-0 (3-0 ACC).

The Cavaliers and Irish were tied 36-36 in second half scoring.
