No. 3 Virginia Wins Three Races Against No. 6 USC

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.—The No. 3 Virginia rowing team won three races against No. 6 USC on the final day of the Pac-12 Challenge Sunday (March 30) on Redwood Shores.
“We had a good weekend against some very formidable competition from Stanford, Oregon State and USC,” UVa head coach Kevin Sauer said. “Thanks to Stanford for hosting a great weekend of racing.”
The Cavaliers claimed the Varsity Eight race over the Trojans by almost three seconds (6:31.2-6:34.1), while the USC Second Varsity Eight was victorious, 6:48.9-6:51.5. Virginia won the Varsity Four (7:31.5-7:36.0) and Second Varsity Four (7:42.7-8:01.4) to close out the regatta.
Up next, Virginia travels to Princeton, N.J., Saturday (April 5) to face Columbia and Princeton.
