CHARLOTTESVILLE – The third-ranked Virginia women’s soccer team will conclude its preseason schedule Monday as it hosts VCU at Klöckner Stadium. Game time is 7 p.m. and admission is free.

Virginia won its preseason opener Friday, defeating Michigan State 2-1 in Maple City, Mich. After giving up an early goal to the Spartans, juniors Kaili Torres (Fleming Island, Fla.) and Emily Sonnett (Marietta, Ga.) scored to give the Cavaliers the come-from-behind victory.

The exhibition is a rematch of last year’s regular season opener, a 4-2 Virginia victory as part of the Klöckner Classic.

The Cavaliers open the 2014 regular season Friday (Aug. 22) as they host Marshall at 7 p.m. Season tickets are currently on sale and can be ordered online at VirginiaSports.com.
