Wiersholm Reaches Round of 16 of US Open Juniors

FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y. – Virginia first-year tennis player Henrik Wiersholm (Kirkland, Wash.) has advanced to the round of 16 of the US Open Junior Championships at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

Wiersholm, playing in his third junior Grand Slam of the year, topped Joao Menezes of Brazil in the first round, 6-2, 6-7(5), 6-3. He followed that win with a 7-5, 6-7(6), 6-2 victory over Lucas Miedler of Austria in the second round. He meets seventh-seeded Duckhee Lee of South Korea in the round of 16.
