Cornish Earns Three Wins at UVa Fall Classic

CHARLOTTESVILLE – Virginia junior Jonathan Cornish (London, England) competed this weekend at the UVa Fall Classic at the Snyder Tennis Center. The only Cavalier competing at the tournament, Cornish won three matches at the event.
Cornish finished third in the blue singles draw. After wins over Alexandre Drean of UMBC and Patrick O’Keefe of Radford, he suffered a semifinal loss to Jai Corbett of Virginia Tech. He rebounded with a victory over Bernardo Cesares of Cornell in the third place match.
The Cavaliers return to action when they host the ITA Atlantic Regional, Oct. 16-20, at the Snyder Tennis Center.
