CHARLOTTESVILLE – The third-ranked Virginia women’s soccer team begins a three-game road trip Sunday as it visits Louisville. Game time at Lynn Stadium is 1 p.m. and there will be a live webcast of the game on www.GoCards.com (subscription required).

Virginia (13-1, 5-1 ACC) is coming off a pair of home wins last week, downing Boston College 6-3 and NC State 6-0. It marked first time since 2008 that an ACC team scored at least six goals in consecutive conference games. Reigning ACC Player of the Week Danielle Colaprico (Freehold, N.J.) had two goals and four assists in the victories and leads the league with 11 assists this season. Makenzy Doniak (Chino Hills, Calif.) leads the ACC in scoring with 26 points (nine goals, eight assists) after three goals and two assists in last week’s victories.

The Cardinals are 6-6-2 this season and 2-2-2 in their inaugural ACC campaign. Louisville is concluding a four-game homestand that has included 1-0 wins over NC State and Northern Kentucky and a 1-0 loss to Boston College.

Sunday’s game is the first ever meeting between the schools and marks Virginia’s first-ever trip to the state of Kentucky, becoming the 23rd different state in which the Cavaliers have played a regular season game. At No. 3 in the NSCAA rankings, Virginia will be the highest-ranked women’s soccer team to ever visit Louisville.

Virginia will continue its three-game road trip Thursday with a visit to Duke. Game time in Durham is 7 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
