CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-The Virginia men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams host conference foe NC State in a dual meet on Saturday (Nov. 15) at the Aquatic and Fitness Center. Diving action is set to begin at 1 p.m., while the swimming portion is slated for a 3 p.m. start.

Admission to all UVa swimming and diving home meets is free to the public. Live results will be available through VirginiaSports.com.

The Cavalier women (1-1) split a double-dual meet last weekend (Nov. 7-8) at University Park, Pa., with UVa defeating Michigan, 184.5-168.5, but falling to Penn State, 183-170. The Virginia men (1-2) fell to the Wolverines, 247-102, and the Nittany Lions, 212-136.

Junior Courtney Bartholomew (Holland, Mich.) picked up three individual event wins, including the women’s 100 and 200 back and the 200 IM, while fellow junior Yannick Kaeser (Mumpf, Switzerland) and sophomore Laura Simon (Simmern, Germnay) swept the men’s and women’s 100 and 200 breast events, respectively. Senior JB Kolod (Pittsburgh, Pa.) swept the men’s 1m and 3m diving events.

NC State’s men (3-0) and women (2-1) defeated Florida State and Georgia Tech on Oct. 25 in Atlanta, Ga. The Wolfpack men are tabbed No. 6 in the latest CSCAA national poll, while the women were ranked No 22.

Last year, the two teams split as the Virginia women were victorious, 178.5-115.5, while the NC State men pulled out a 157-141 win.

Next up, the Cavalier divers will travel to Columbus, Ohio, Nov. 21-23, for the Ohio State Invitational.
