CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – ESPN’s College GameDay Covered by State Farm will make its first appearance in Charlottesville at John Paul Jones Arena on Saturday, Jan. 31, prior to the Saturday Primetime presented by DIRECTV telecast featuring No. 2 Virginia’s game with No. 4 Duke. Tipoff at JPJ is scheduled for 7 p.m.

ESPN’s College GameDay, the network’s signature college basketball pregame show, begins at 10 a.m. on ESPNU before airing on ESPN from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. An evening edition will lead into tip-off of Virginia’s ACC showdown with Duke.

Admission and parking will be free for all fans attending the national pregame show Saturday morning. Gates will open at 9 a.m., and all seating at John Paul Jones Arena is general admission.

The first 1,500 students will receive a free t-shirt at the southeast (student) gate and 1,500 free t-shirts will also be distributed at the main entrance. State Farm is giving away 3,000 rollabannas in addition to other prizes. There will also be great raffle prizes awarded to fans including: a pair of 2015-16 Virginia men’s basketball season tickets, two 42″ LCD-TVs, and a trip for two to Virginia’s game against West Virginia at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 8, 2015.

ESPN’s College GameDay Covered by State Farm features analysts Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams, and host Rece Davis on the eight-week Saturday morning and evening program that originates from the site of ESPN’s Saturday Primetime Presented by DIRECTV telecast. Bilas will also serve as analyst for the Virginia-Duke game, alongside Dan Shulman and reporter Shannon Spake.
