CHARLOTTESVILLE – Two individuals and one relay team of the Virginia men’s track and field team were selected to compete at the 2015 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. The meet will run March 13-14 at the Randal Tyson Track Complex on the campus of the University of Arkansas.

Filip Mihaljevic (Livno, Bosnia and Herzegovina) will compete in the shot put, Jordan Young (Windsor, Ontario) will compete in the weight throw and men’s distance relay will compete next week in Fayetteville.

Mihaljevic, the ACC champion in the shot put, will make his NCAA Indoor Championship debut. He is seeded ninth in the event as his season-best 19.63m is a school record.

Young, the ACC champion in the weight throw, makes his second straight NCAA appearance in the event, having finished 14th in 2014 while at the University of Arizona. He is seeded fifth as he threw a school-record 22.92m at the ACC meet.

Virginia sends the DMR to the NCAA Championships for the second time in the past three years. The Cavaliers, who won the ACC Championship in the event last week, are seeded 11th for the NCAA meet with a season-best time of 9:32.36.

The weight throw and distance medley relay will be held on Friday, March 13. The shot put will be held on Saturday, March 14. There will be online coverage of the meet on ESPN3.
