WACO, Texas – Virginia tennis standout Danielle Collins (St. Petersburg, Fla.) continued her quest for a second consecutive NCAA singles title with a round of 16 win over UCLA’s Jennifer Brady at the 2015 NCAA Women’s Tennis Singles Championship on Friday (May 22) at the Hurd Tennis Center.

No. 9-16 seed Collins defeated 47th-ranked Brady 6-1, 7-5 to post her third straight win at the championship and increase her winning streak to 16 matches. Brady is also ranked No. 209 in the WTA rankings, the highest among college tennis players. 

Collins will play No. 7 seed Jamie Loeb of North Carolina in the quarterfinals on Saturday (May 23). Collins (26-5) is 11-0 against ranked opponents during her 16-match winning streak.
