Six Cavaliers Named to All-ACC Academic Rowing Team

GREENSBORO, N.C.-Six members of the Virginia rowing team were named to the All-ACC Academic Rowing Team, the conference announced Monday (June 29). The group included seniors Hayley LaFleche (New York, N.Y.) and Julia Roithmayr (Yorktown, Va.), junior Tessa Dikkers (Pelham, N.Y.) and sophomores Jo Gurman (Weston, Conn.), Ellen Pate (Lafayette, Calif.) and Georgia Ratcliff (Falls Church, Va.).

Roithmayr and Pate were members of the NCAA Champion Varsity Four. Dikkers and Gurman were named CRCA National Scholar-Athletes, while Ratcliff was named to the CRCA All-Region 3 Second Team. LaFleche was a member of the All-ACC squad. Dikkers and Ratcliff were part of the Varsity Eight that placed third at the NCAA regatta, while LaFleche and Gurman were members of the Second Varsity Eight.

Ratcliff was honored on the All-ACC Academic Team for the second time.
