CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-Former Virginia cross country and track and field standout Stephanie Garcia is set to compete at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China. The meet, which runs Aug. 22-30, will be contested at the Beijing National Stadium, known as the Bird’s Nest, where the track and field events of the 2008 Olympics were contested.

She finished seventh in her heat in the same event at the 2011 world meet in Daegu, South Korea.
