Wake Forest Fall Invite Draws Get Acrobat Reader

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Four Virginia men’s tennis players will be competing at the Wake Forest Men’s Tennis Invitational. The tournament runs Friday, Nov. 6 through Sunday, Nov. 8 in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Senior Jonathan Cornish (London, England), sophomores Henrik Wiersholm (Kirkland, Wash.) and Alexander Ritschard (Zurich, Switzerland) as well as redshirt junior Harrison Richmond (Pawley’s Island, S.C.) will be competing in singles with Cornish and Wiersholm and Ritschard and Richmond partnering in doubles. Ritschard is the top-seed in the A2 singles bracket while Wiersholm is the two-seed in A1 singles. Cornish will be playing in the B1 singles bracket with Richmond in the B2 bracket.

Doubles will start Friday morning at 9 a.m. with one round of doubles being played in A and B draws and two rounds in C. Singles will start at 11 a.m. with the competitors playing two rounds in all flights.

The matches are scheduled to be contested at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex, but could be changed to the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center in the event of inclement weather.

Players from 18 teams will competing in Winston-Salem this weekend including Wake Forest, Duke, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Indiana, NC State, Liberty, Tennessee Tech, East Carolina, UNCG, Navy, Dartmouth, Penn, Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Norfolk State and Old Dominion.
