Charlottesville, Va. – Virginia men’s golf coach Bowen Sargent announced today the signing of a three-man recruiting class of top junior golfers who will join the Cavalier program next fall. The class includes Nathan Chuwait (Herndon, Va.), Andrew Orischak (Hilton Head Island, S.C.) and Luke Schaap (Potomac, Md.).

“We’re excited to announce the 2016 class of Andrew, Luke, and Nathan,” Sargent said. “All three of these young men have the ability to move the program forward to reach our team goals of winning the ACC Championship and make the NCAA finals on an annual basis. Not only do all three young men come to Charlottesville with strong golf backgrounds, each one is a serious student, interested in pursuing their personal goals of academic success.

“It is awesome to see three quality young men have the faith in our program and university to assist them in the next step of their lives. As a staff we are excited and privileged for the opportunity to assist them in this all-important journey to earn one of the best degrees in the world and making the PGA Tour.”

Orischak is the top-ranked junior among the trio of signees. He is ranked the nation’s No. 10 junior by Golfweek and is the No. 19 golfer in the American Junior Golf Association’s standings.
