Virginia Divers to Compete in Two Meets This Weeekend

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-Virginia’s divers are set for two meets this weekend (Feb. 5-6). The Cavalier women’s divers will travel to Richmond to take on the Spiders on Friday at 6:30 p.m., while both the men’s and women’s divers will compete in the JMU Diving Invitational on Saturday at 10 a.m.

The Cavaliers will compete against divers from Clemson, Ohio, Towson, West Virginia and the host Dukes on Saturday.
Senior Carl Buergler (Arlington, Va.) was named ACC Male Diver of the Week on Jan. 12 for his efforts against Notre Dame. Fellow senior Becca Corbett (Louisville, Ky.) is the current school record holder in all three diving events.
Next up, the Cavalier divers will compete at the ACC Women’s Swimming and Diving and Men’s Diving Championships Feb. 17-20 in Greensboro, N.C.
