UVA men’s lacrosse first-year Phil Poquie made a big impression in his collegiate debut on Tuesday night. The Philadelphia, Pa., native scored the tying and game-winning goals as Virginia topped visiting Saint Joseph’s. Poquie scored with 8:47 and 7:55 left in the game and UVA never trailed again, winning 9-7. Poquie was born in the Ivory Coast, lived in Liberia and moved to the United States when he was two years old. Poquie was listed as the No. 46 recruit in the nation by Inside Lacrosse.
