CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Seniors Julia Elbaba (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) and Danielle Collins (St. Petersburg, Fla.) earned All-ACC first-team honors, the league announced on Thursday (April 21).

Elbaba, who is currently ranked No. 16 in the latest ITA rankings, earns All-ACC honors for a school-record fourth time in her career. She posted a 15-4 mark in dual play this season, including a 10-3 mark in ACC play. She is 12-4 against nationally-ranked foes.

Elbaba can tie the school record for singles wins with a victory in the first match of the ACC Tournament. She has 126 singles victories for her career.

Collins, who is currently ranked a career-high No. 2 in the latest ITA rankings, earns All-ACC honors for the third time. She posted a 15-2 mark in dual play this season, including an 11-1 mark in ACC competition. Collins is 19-4 against nationally-ranked foes and claimed the Oracle ITA Masters Championship and the ITA Riviera All-American Championship in the fall.

No. 5 seed Virginia (14-9, 9-5 ACC) opens ACC Women’s Tennis Championship competition at 1 p.m. today against No. 12 seed Florida State. Live stats are linked at VirginiaSports.com.
