CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-The No. 4 Virginia men’s track and field team and the Cavalier women are set to compete at the Highlander Invitational Friday and Saturday (April 29-30) at Cupp Stadium in Radford, Va.

Live results will be available at VirginiaSports.com. UVA will be competing in field events on both days starting at noon Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday, as well as the sprint events on Saturday.

The Cavalier men are ranked No. 4 in the most recent FloTrack national poll and No. 10 in the latest USTFCCCA national rankings.

After facing a strong field at the Virginia Challenge last weekend (April 22-23) at Lannigan Field, junior Henry Wynne (Westport, Conn.) ranks first in the nation in the men’s 1,500 meters, while fellow junior Filip Mihaljevic (Livno, Bosnia and Herzegovina) currently ranks fourth in the men’s discus and fifth in the shot put. Redshirt freshman Oghenakpobo Efekoro (Brooklyn, N.Y.) is 10th in the men’s shot put, while junior Christine Bohan (Avon Lake, Ohio) is 15th in the women’s shot put. Freshman Hilmar Jonsson (Reykjavik, Iceland) ranks sixth in the men’s hammer throw.

The Cavaliers return to action May 13-15 for the ACC Outdoor Championships in Tallahassee, Fla.
