INDIANAPOLIS-Virginia rising senior Leah Smith won three events at the Arena Pro Swim Series in Indianapolis, one of the final tune-ups before the U.S. Olympic Trials, last weekend at the IUPUI Natatorium.

Smith (Pittsburgh, Pa.) won three events, including the 200-meter freestyle, 400m free and 800m free. In the 400m free, she finished in a time of 4:03.33, becoming the fourth-fastest American ever in the event and moved up to No. 2 in the 2016 world rankings.

In the 200m free, she touched in a time of 1:56.64, which made her the eighth-fastest American ever in the event. In the 800m free, Smith won by almost two and a half seconds in 8:24.87, which ranks her 13th on U.S. all-time list.

Rising senior Kaitlyn Jones (Newark, Del.) placed second in the 200m individual medley in 2:14.50, finished fourth in the 400m IM in a personal-best 4:45.13 and touched sixth in the 200m butterfly in a personal-best 2:12.58. Jones also recorded a personal-best in the 200m free of 2:01.07.

Rising sophomore Alex Albracht (Mission Hills, Kan.) qualified for the Olympic Trials and placed eighth in the 100m breaststroke in 1:03.52. Albracht also finished 10th overall in the 200m breast in 2:18.89.
