Volleyball Hosts Orange and Blue Scrimmage

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia volleyball team will host its annual Orange and Blue Scrimmage Saturday (Aug. 20) at 1:30 p.m. in Memorial Gymnasium. Admission is free to the public.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet the team after the scrimmage and season ticket holders will receive complimentary Domino’s Pizza and Pepsi products.
The team will be holding a free CavMan Clinic prior to the scrimmage, beginning at 11 a.m. and ending at 12:30 p.m.
Virginia is coming off its third-straight winning season with an 18-13 record. The Cavaliers return nine letterwinners and three starters from the 2015 squad. UVA also welcomes a recruiting class ranked No. 30 by PrepVolleyball.com.
This season Virginia will host 16 matches at Memorial Gymnasium, including the Cavalier Classic to open the season. UVA will take on Buffalo in the opener on Friday (Aug. 26) at 11 a.m. and return to host George Washington that night at 7 p.m. before closing out the tournament against Northwestern on Saturday (Aug. 27) at 7 p.m.
Game-day parking for volleyball matches is available free of charge at the Culbreth Road Garage, located behind Carr’s Hill Field. Limited parking is available at the Central Grounds Garage (hourly rates apply).
