Virginia Closes First Fall Weekend At Duke Bonk Invite

2016 Duke Bonk Invite Brackets
CARY, N.C. – Freshmen Chloe Gullickson (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) and Rosie Johanson (Abbotsford, British Columbia) finished third, while junior Teodora Radosavljevic (Belgrade, Serbia) won the consolation finals at the Duke Bonk Invitational on Sunday (Sept. 18).
It marked the first competition of the fall for the Virginia women’s tennis team. The Cavaliers will return to action next weekend, hosting the UVA Fall Invite.
Freshman Hunter Bleser (New Braunfels, Texas) advanced to the third place match of her bracket, but Alejandra Cisneros of NC State picked up the win by walkover. Freshman Camille Favero (Sacramento, Calif.) also advanced to the third-place match in her bracket, but fell on Sunday.
Junior Cassie Mercer (Huntington, W.V.) competed in the consolation third-place match of her bracket, winning her final match.
Sophomores Meghan Kelley (Falmouth, Maine) and Erica Susi (Vero Beach, Fla.) also fell in their Sunday matches. Kelley fell in the consolation finals, while Susi fell in the third-place match of the consolation round of her bracket.
