CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Senior defender Kristen McNabb (Montville, N.J.), a member of the No. 5 Virginia women’s soccer team, has been named the ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week the league office announced on Tuesday.

McNabb helped lead the Cavaliers to a 2-0 victory over No. 17 Virginia Tech this past week, scoring both goals on the way to the win in the Commonwealth Clash match. It is the third multiple-goal game of McNabb’s career and her first goals scored this season.

She was efficient on offense, taking only two shots and converting on both of them.

The senior also helped anchor a defense that held the Hokies to six shots on the night and only one shot on goal. Virginia has now posted a shutout in all eight victories this season and will hit the road this week for a pair of matches at Miami on Thursday (Sept. 22) and at No. 3 Florida State on Sunday (Sept. 25).
