CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.–The Virginia men’s and women’s cross country teams host the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships Friday (Nov. 11) at Panorama Farms in Earlysville, Va.

The women’s 6K race is set to begin at 11 a.m., while the men’s 10K contest is scheduled for a noon start. Live results will be available at VirginiaSports.com. Admission to the meet is free, but there is a $5 parking fee.

The top-two teams and top-four individuals at each of the nine regional meets will automatically advance to the NCAA Championships to be held in Terre Haute, Ind., on Saturday, Nov. 19. Thirteen teams will also earn at-large bids to be announced on Saturday, Nov. 12.

Virginia’s men are the highest-ranked team in the USTFCCCA national rankings at No. 16. NC State is ranked No. 27, while Virginia Tech and Kentucky received votes. UVA is also tabbed No. 12 in the latest FloTrack rankings.

On the women’s side, NC State is the lone region team ranked in the national poll at No. 2, while William and Mary was the only other school to receive votes.

Last time out, UVA’s men finished second at the ACC Championships, while the women finished 10th.

Panorama Farms, located in Earlysville in northern Albemarle County, has been the home course of the Cavaliers since 2001. Friday’s meet marks the sixth collegiate championship event on the course as it also hosted the 2006, 2007 and 2014 ACC Championships as well as the 2013 and 2015 NCAA Southeast Regionals. This is the second of three-consecutive years Panorama Farms will host the regional.

Last year at the regional, both the Virginia men and women qualified automatically for the NCAA Championships by way of the Cavalier women’s win and the UVA men’s second-place finish.
