GREENSBORO, N.C. ÃÆ’¢Ãƒ¢’¬” Junior goalkeeper Jeff Caldwell (Todd, N.C.) and freshman Terrell Lowe (Hillsboro, Ore.) were both named to the 2016 All-ACC Academic Men’s Soccer Team, as announced by ACC Commissioner John Swofford on Tuesday (Feb. 7).

Caldwell, a history major, earned his second All-ACC Academic Team distinction in as many seasons while Lowe was honored for the first time.

As the team’s starting goalkeeper for the past two seasons, Caldwell has twice received the ACC All-Conference nod, including a second-team selection this past season. In his first season with the Cavaliers, Lowe was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team after starting 18 of the team’s 20 matches.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.

The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
