All-ACC Academic Women’s Soccer Team

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Four Cavaliers were named to the Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Women’s Soccer team, as announced by Commissioner John Swofford on Tuesday (Feb. 7).

Senior defender Kristen McNabb (Montville, N.J.), midfielder Alexis Shaffer (Cary, N.C.) and goalkeeper Morgan Stearns (San Antonio, Texas) were named to the team along with junior forward Veronica Latsko (Venetia, Pa.).

McNabb and Stearns are two-time selections to the team, while Latsko and Shaffer earned the recognition for the first time.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.

The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
