CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s lacrosse team (1-1) returns home to host No. 12 Princeton (1-0) on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Klöckner Stadium.

Saturday’s game will be streamed live on the ACC Network Extra and can be viewed through ESPN3 or the WatchESPN app. Links for the stream, as well as live stats, are available on Virginiasports.com.

It is a Cavman’s Crew Day, with $3 general admission tickets available along with free hot dogs for All-Star members. There will be face painting and a ballon artists for all kids prior to the game. Fans can stick around after the game for autographs with the team.

Virginia is coming of a 15-14 win at Richmond on Wednesday night. Freshman Sammy Mueller (Pelham, N.Y.) scored a career-high six goals, including two in the final minute, to lead the Cavaliers to the win.

Mueller leads the team in scoring with seven goals. Senior Kelly Reese (Severna Park, Md.) is second with five goals and fellow senior Besser Dyson (Alexandria, Va.) had a team-high six assists, with four of those against Richmond.

This will be the 28th meeting between Virginia and Princeton. The Cavaliers lead the series, 19-17, and are 13-5 in games played in Charlottesville. Last season, the Tigers won, 14-7 in Princeton. In the last meeting at Klöckner, Virginia won 18-11 on March 14, 2015.

Princeton played its only game this season on Feb. 18. The Tigers defeated Temple, 19-3. Olivia Hompe led the way with four goals, while six players had two and three players had one goal. Goalkeeper Ellie DeGarmo finished with 12 saves.

Virginia will begin a three-game road trip at William & Mary on Thursday, March 2. The Cavaliers will then travel to Syracuse to open ACC play on Sunday, March 5 and have a week off before playing at North Carolina on Saturday, March 11.

The ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. for in-person or telephone purchases.
