Virginia Field Hockey Announces Spring Schedule

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia field hockey team will play in a combination of five scrimmages and tournaments during its 2017 spring training period, including two home scrimmages.

The 2016 ACC Champions will begin spring competition on Friday, March 17, hosting Longwood at 6:30 p.m. The Cavaliers will close out the spring with a home scrimmage on Saturday, April 8 when they host Richmond at 12:30 p.m.

Virginia will have three days of road competition starting with taking on the U21 National Team at Duke on Sunday, March 19 at noon, and a Friday, March 31 scrimmage at William & Mary at 5:30 p.m. UVA will also participate in an all-day play day on Saturday, March 25 at James Madison.

The home scrimmages are open to the public and will be played at University Hall Turf Field.

Sunday, March 19: vs. U21 National Team at Duke, 12 p.m.
Saturday, March 25: at James Madison Tournament, All Day
