CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s soccer program announced its spring schedule on Tuesday (March 7) with a six-game schedule that includes a matchup with the Washington Spirit of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

Five of the six games come on the road, with three of them played in Richmond.

Virginia opens the spring schedule on March 18 with a pair of games played at the University of Richmond. The Cavaliers will face Richmond at 1 p.m. and then face VCU in a neutral-site game on campus at Richmond.

The spring season continues on March 25 when the Cavaliers return to Richmond to face ACC rival Duke at Sports Backers Stadium in Richmond at 7 p.m.

Virginia will then travel to face the NWSL’s Washington Spirit at 7 p.m. on April 8. The contest will be played at the Maryland Soccerplex in Boyds, Md. Tickets to see the friendly between the Cavaliers and the Spirit are free, but fans are asked to sign up online at WashingtonSpirit.com.

The spring continues with a matchup at ACC opponent North Carolina on April 15 at 1 p.m., before concluding with the lone home game against Virginia Tech on April 23 at 1 p.m. at KlÃÆ’¶ckner Stadium.
