The Cavaliers are looking to solidify seeding heading into next week’s ACC Championships at Berry College in Rome, Ga.

Virginia is coming off a 2-1 performance last weekend with wins at Duquesne and Pittsburgh before dropping a tight contest at Louisville.

The Cavaliers have a pair of players ranked in the latest edition of the ITA women’s singles rankings, with Rosie Johanson (Abbotsford, British Columbia) at No. 49 and junior Cassie Mercer (Huntington, W.V.) at No. 118. The doubles tandem of freshman Chloe Gullickson (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) and Mercer are the No. 33 doubles team in the latest ITA women’s doubles rankings.

Florida State has won five of its last six ACC matches heading into the weekend’s contest, pulling even in conference play on the season. The Seminoles have one player ranked in the ITA women’s singles rankings with Julia Mikulski coming in at No. 109 this week. Florida State does not have a nationally-ranked doubles team.
