CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -Virginia freshman Jordan Scott (Portmore, Jamaica) was named the ACC Men’s Field Performer of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday (April 25).

In front of a home crowd at the Virginia Challenge, Scott recorded the second-best triple jump mark in the country this season. He reached a distance of 16.44m (53-11.25) for a personal best effort that ranks second in UVA history and tops Virginia first-year performances. Scott’s jump also claimed first at the meet.

In the long jump, Scott recorded a distance of 7.16m (23-6) for a personal best. The jump placed him eighth at the meet.

The Cavaliers will host the Virginia Grand Prix April 29. The competition at Lannigan Field is expected to start field events at 11:30 a.m. and running events at 5 p.m.
