CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – An expanded schedule of online streaming for Virginia athletics home events on ACC Network Extra gets underway Thursday with a soccer doubleheader featuring the Cavaliers’ nationally-ranked men’s and women’s soccer programs. ACC Network Extra is a dedicated live-events digital channel announced last fall as part of the ACC’s media rights agreement with ESPN.

A total of 53 Virginia regular-season athletics contests will be carried by ACC Network Extra, ESPN networks and Regional Sports Networks. That lineup features 37 broadcasts that will originate from UVA home events.

In addition, preliminary rounds from home sites of the ACC men’s soccer championships will be streamed on ACC Network Extra with the championships finals on Regional Sports Networks. The semifinals and finals of the ACC women’s soccer and field hockey championships will be broadcast on Regional Sports Networks.

Fans can access ACC Network Extra broadcasts through the WatchESPN (espn.com/watchespn) website and the WatchESPN app.

Watch ESPN requires viewers to log in with a username and password using their cable television provider. Fans will need the online sign-in information for their cable or satellite provider to access WatchESPN.

The WatchESPN app is available on iTunes and Google Play. Once downloaded, select channel and then the ACC Network Extra logo. Game broadcasts are located under the “Live Now” feature.

Fans can find direct links to all UVA athletics broadcasts in pre-event press releases on VirginiaSports.com, the sport schedule pages on VirginiaSports.com or each sport’s pre-event Twitter feed.
