As we gear up for and continue through the 2017-18 season, members of the Virginia wrestling team took some time to sit down and answer a few questions to provide a little insight and help our fans get to know them better as student-athletes.

What do you love most about competing as a Virginia Cavalier?
I love that I am competing for the Cavalier community, a community that will support me through thick and thin.
Why did you choose Virginia?
I felt like Virginia was a place where I could grow as a man and surround myself with other positive influences.
What defines a Cavalier?
A Cavalier is a go-getter. A person who isn’t afraid to battle and push themselves to the limits to achieve their goals.
Who or what motivates you in your sport?
My family.
What are your goals for the season?
To become the best I can be.
Favorite family vacation?
Trips to our lake house in New Hampshire.

Who is your hero and why?
My older brother, Collin, for his consistency and commitment. Staying the course.

I am passionate about photography.
Besides your own sport, what’s a sporting event on Grounds that fans need to experience at least once and why?
All of them. I’ve never seen a more exciting and passionate athletic community. Every team leaves it all out there when the whistle blows.
If you could play any other sport, what would it be?
Soccer
If you could give any advice to younger athletes entering the sport what would it be?
Don’t focus on the winning and losing. Focus on getting better every time you step out on the mat.
