FORT WORTH, Texas – The Virginia women’s tennis team continued competition at the Big 5 Challenge on Saturday (Sept. 23) with four players competing in singles and a doubles team in action at the event hosted by TCU.

Junior Meghan Kelley (Falmouth, Maine) picked up her third singles win of the weekend, defeating No. 116 Silvia Chinellato of South Carolina, 7-5, 2-6, 1-0 (8).

Virginia also picked up a win in its lone doubles match of the day with the pairing of Camille Favero (Sacramento, Calif.) and Chloe Gullickson (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) defeating the South Carolina duo of Megan Davis and Chinellato, 7-6.

The Big 5 Challenge will conclude on Sunday (Sept. 24) with doubles matches starting at 9:30 a.m. ET. Singles matches will also be played at a time to be determined.
