FORT WORTH, Texas – The Virginia women’s tennis team picked up a pair of championships on Sunday (Sept. 24) as the Cavaliers closed out competition at the Big 5 Challenge hosted by TCU.

Sophomore Rosie Johanson (Abbotsford, British Columbia), who is ranked No. 34 in singles, won the championship in flight 1 of singles competition and paired with junior Meghan Kelley (Falmouth, Maine) to win the championship in flight 1 of doubles competition.

Kelley, who is ranked No. 124 in singles, advanced to the championship of the flight 4 singles, but fell to No. 107 Hadley Berg of South Carolina. Also picking up a singles win for the Cavaliers on Sunday was senior Teodora Radosavljevic, who defeated Savanna Slaysman of Arizona State.

The Cavaliers will return to action next week as play begins at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif. Competition begins on Saturday, Sept. 30.
