What do you love most about competing as a Virginia Cavalier?
The support I have from all the coaches, teammates, academic coordinators, and even other athletes from different sports.

Why did you choose Virginia?
Coach Garland drew me here by the way he seemed to treat his athletes. At the University of Virginia, we are a family rather than a business.

What will be your lasting memory of your time as a Virginia Cavalier?
Probably George and I going through the NCAA tournament last year. I got to watch him live his dream becoming an All-American as well as living that dream myself.

What defines a Cavalier?
Probably the six pillars of the program: Mind, Body, Relationship, Compete in such a way, Servanthood, and Academics.

Who or what motivates you in your sport?
I have a great support system from my family, coaches and friends however the person who motivates me the most is easily my Mom. She has been driving me to practice ever since I was 3 and probably still wishes she could. But my ultimate goal is ten, twenty, one hundred years from now being in the conversation for who was the greatest wrestler of all time.

What are your goals for the season?
The Hodge Trophy

Who is your hero and why?
I have many but my dad and my brother definitely top the list. My dad because he is the hardest worker I know and my brother because he helped me fall in love with the sport.

Name one thing most people probably don’t know about you?
My girlfriend beats me in ping pong.

Besides your own sport, what’s a sporting event on Grounds that fans need to experience at least once and why?
Field Hockey because they are basically our sister sport as well as the sport being fast and physical.

If you could play any other sport, what would it be?
Basketball because hopefully the height would go with it.

If you could give any advice to younger athletes entering the sport what would it be?
Don’t give a crap about the suffering or what people say because if you can convince yourself that the pain is fun, winning will come with it.

Nickname (is there a story you can share that goes with it)?
Muels A Million- because my lacrosse coach said I had a million-dollar shot

Texas Psycho Murderer- Because at the beginning of the year last year i was ripping peoples shoulders out and by the time the Chattanooga dual came around the kids and the coaches were scared to wrestle me
