GT Invitational Draws

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia men’s tennis team will have five players competing at the Georgia Tech Invitational, being held Friday through Sunday, Nov. 3-5, at Georgia Tech’s Ken Byer’s Tennis Complex in Atlanta, Ga.

Redshirt freshman Ammar Alhaqbani (Alexandria, Va.) and freshmen Jefferson Dockter (Atlanta, Ga.), Jerome Romualdez (Manila, Philippines), Matthew Lord (Bloomfield, Conn.) and Ethan Moszkowski (New York, N.Y.) will be competing as individuals in the event.

Players from seven teams including Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia State and Auburn will be competing at the tournament. Each player playing will be guaranteed four matches of singles and three matches of doubles as each draw will be a compass draw. There will be two singles draws and two doubles.

Play begins on Friday at 10 a.m. with back-to-back doubles matches followed by a singles match. Saturday will begin at 9:30 a.m. with two singles matches slated for the day. Sunday will begin at 9 a.m. with a doubles match followed by the final singles match for each player.

Lord and Romualdez will be partnering in doubles and playing in the A bracket while Dockter and Moszkowski will play in the B bracket. Alhaqbani and Lord will play in the singles A bracket while Dockter and Romualdez will play in the B bracket.

This will be the team’s final collegiate tournament of the fall.
