CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Veronica Latsko, Phoebe McClernon, Megan Reid and Taryn Torres of the No. 10 Virginia women’s soccer team earned All-ACC honors in a vote by the league’s coaches, the conference office announced on Thursday.

The four players picked up five honors it was announced with the release of the league’s annual honors as the fourth-seeded Cavaliers prepare to play in the ACC Tournament semifinals on Friday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. against top-seeded and second-ranked Duke.

Latsko (Venetia, Pa.) was named a first team All-ACC selection, while Reid (Orinda, Calif.) was a second team All-ACC selection. McClernon (West Chester, Pa.) and Torres (Frisco, Texas) were both third team All-ACC selections, while Torres also earned a spot on the All-Freshman team.

A senior forward, Latsko is tied for the team lead in points this season with 15 as she has tallied six goals and three assists. She tied the school record for points in a game with eight in a victory at Pittsburgh with a hat trick, including the game winner, and a pair of assists. She was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week and the National Player of the Week by the United Soccer Coaches for the performance. Latsko has three game-winning goals this season, all in ACC play.

A senior defender, Reid hit the game-winning goal for the Cavaliers at No. 2 West Virginia earlier this season and added a pair of assists on game-winning goals against Miami and Louisville. She has started all 17 matches played this season and has helped anchor a back line with fellow All-ACC selection McClernon that has posted eight shutouts this season.

A sophomore defender, McClernon has played the full time in 11 matches this season and been instrumental in the Cavaliers posting the eight shutouts this season. She hit her first collegiate goal, the game-winner, to help lift Virginia to a 3-2 victory over No. 5 Penn State earlier this season. Four of her full-time matches were double overtime matches against NC State, East Carolina, Notre Dame and Clemson.

A freshman, Torres started the season at midfielder before moving to a starting role on the front line. She leads the team with seven goals this season and is tied with Latsko with 15 points this season. Torres hit the game winners against Liberty and Miami, and turned in her first multiple-goal game in the win at Pittsburgh. She tallied her first career assist in the win at Syracuse.
