CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The pools were announced for the upcoming Virginia Duals on Tuesday (Jan. 9) and the Cavaliers will wrestle in the James River Pool against No. 10 Arizona State and Iowa State when the competition begins on Friday.

The two-day event is being held at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Va.

Virginia (2-3) will begin the day against Iowa State (1-4) at 9 a.m., before facing nationally-ranked Arizona State (3-2) at 11 a.m. The Cyclones and Sun Devils will then face each other at 1 p.m. Teams will then advance to the Bronze, Silver or Gold bracket based on pool performance. The semifinals for the Bronze and Silver brackets will be at 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

Wrestling will continue on Saturday with matchups determined by team performance in competition on Friday.

In addition to the three teams in the James River Pool, programs competing in the Virginia Duals include: Bucknell, Campbell, Chattanooga, Fresno State, Kent State, Lock Haven, Northern Iowa, Oklahoma, Old Dominion and Virginia Tech.
