Scott Named ACC Field Athlete of the Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- Virginia sophomore Jordan Scott (Portmore, Jamaica) was named the ACC Men’s Field Performer of the Week, according to the release by the league office on Tuesday (Jan. 23).

Scott led the Cavaliers in their season opener at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational at Iowa City, Iowa last weekend. He recorded a mark of 15.75m (51’8.25″) in the triple jump, finishing second overall and first among collegiate athletes in the event. His performance placed him seventh in the nation for the event.

Scott and Virginia will compete at the two-day Liberty Kickoff, beginning this Friday in Lynchburg, Va.
