Towbin Named ACC Diver of the Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- Virginia junior Kylie Towbin (New Canaan, Conn.) was named ACC Diver of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday (Jan. 23).

Towbin swept the 3-meter dive in the team’s dual meets against NC State (Friday) and North Carolina (Saturday). She recorded a score of 347.10 for a first-place finish against the Wolfpack, before topping the event against the Tar Heels with a score of 355.05. Her score against North Carolina set a Virginia record.

In the 1-meter dive, Towbin finished second against NC State with a score of 286.13. She finished eighth against North Carolina with a score of 210.00.

The Cavaliers will return to action on February 14 for the Women’s ACC Championships.
