As we continue through the 2018 season, members of the Virginia women’s tennis team took some time to sit down and answer a few questions to provide a little insight and help our fans get to know them better as student-athletes.

What do you love most about competing as a Virginia Cavalier?
The support we get from our peers and our community.
Why did you choose Virginia?
It has a good balance between everything I was looking for in a school, which was great academics and a strong athletic program.
What will be your lasting memory of your time as a Virginia Cavalier?
I think the people I have met here will forever stick with me.
What defines a Cavalier?
Someone who is supportive and loyal to the people they surround themselves with and who strive to be the best they can be.
Who or what motivates you in your sport?
My family is what motivates me. They have always pushed me to be my best and I do everything I can to make them proud.
What are your goals for the season?
To continue to improve and help my team to an amazing season, doing whatever it takes

If you could give any advice to younger athletes entering the sport what would it be?
Everybody loses, it’s how you respond to that loss will determine your success.
