CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- Sophomore Jordan Scott (Portmore, Jamaica) will represent the Virginia track and field team in the 2018 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium in College Station, Texas. The two-day meet will begin on Friday (March 9) with Scott competing in the triple jump at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

ESPN3 will broadcast events beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Fans can also watch a tape delay of the meet on Sunday at 7 p.m. on ESPN2. Links to Saturday’s broadcast and to live results can be found at VirginiaSports.com.

Scott will head into the NCAA Championships as the fifth seed in the triple jump after capturing a season-best mark of 16.35m (53’7.75″) at the ACC Championships two weeks ago. His performance at the meet earned him a silver medal and All-ACC honors in the event.

This season, Scott was a two-time ACC Field Performer of the week honoree. He earned the weekly honor after placing second at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational and first at the Power Five Invitational in the triple jump.

Scott will compete at the NCAA indoor championships for the second time in his career. As a freshman, he earned second-team All-America honors, finishing 10th in the triple jump with a mark of 15.69m (51’5.75″).
