As we continue through the 2018 season, members of the Virginia women’s tennis team took some time to sit down and answer a few questions to provide a little insight and help our fans get to know them better as student-athletes.

What do you love most about competing as a Virginia Cavalier?
I love the support of the fans and the atmosphere they create at our matches.
Why did you choose Virginia?
For the tradition of both academic and athletic excellence.
What will be your lasting memory of your time as a Virginia Cavalier?
I’ll always remember all of the incredible individuals, both through my sport and academics, that I’ve had the opportunity to get to know at UVA.
What defines a Cavalier?
Someone who puts 110% effort into all they do and is quick to help others.
Who or what motivates you in your sport?
My family and teammates
What are your goals for the season?
Make the finals/ win ACCs.

Who is your hero and why?
My parents because they’ve been incredible role models and have always been my greatest supporters.

I am a classically trained violinist
Besides your own sport, what’s a sporting event on Grounds that fans need to experience at least once and why?
Basketball because of the atmosphere. There’s so much energy!
If you could play any other sport, what would it be?
I always wanted to be an equestrian.
If you could give any advice to younger athletes entering the sport what would it be?
Don’t be afraid to push your comfort zone with your sport, embrace the challenges.
