2018 NWSL Stats | 2018 NWSL Schedule

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Cavaliers are back in action, but the NWSL race for the playoffs is heating up as well. This week in our update we look at an assist from Veronica Latsko on a goal in a 4-0 win by the Houston Dash, while three teams that feature former Hoos are all looking to hold on to playoff berths as the season hits the home stretch.
 
MORGAN BRIAN – CHICAGO RED STARS – MIDFIELDER
Season Stats – GP-GS: 7-5   Goals: 0   Assists: 0  Shots: 8   Minutes: 398
Brian and the Red Stars played to a pair of draws this past week with a scoreless draw against Seattle and a 2-2 draw with the Portland Thorns. The Red Stars currently hold the final spot in the playoff standings and travel to face Orlando at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. 
 
DANIELLE COLAPRICO – CHICAGO RED STARS – MIDFIELDER
Season Stats – GP-GS: 21-19   Goals: 1   Assists: 4  Shots: 6   Minutes: 1,710
Colaprico and the Red Stars played to a pair of draws this past week with a scoreless draw against Seattle and a 2-2 draw with the Portland Thorns. The Red Stars currently hold the final spot in the playoff standings and travel to face Orlando at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
 
MAKENZY DONIAK – UTAH ROYALS – MIDFIELDER
Doniak, the 2015 ACC Player of the Year, continues to be sidelined with an ACL injury, but has found a new home with the Utah Royals after a trade two weeks ago by the North Carolina Courage. 
 
VERONICA LATSKO – HOUSTON DASH – MIDFIELDER
Season Stats – GP-GS: 18-6   Goals: 3  Assists: 2   Shots: 16   Minutes: 741
Latsko and the Dash played at home this past week and picked up a 4-0 win over the Washington Spirit. Latsko, who made the start, provided an assist on the final goal, connecting with Kyah Simon for the score. Her squad is on the road this week, playing tonight at Seattle at 10:30 p.m. and hosting Sky Blue FC on Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
 

 
KRISTEN MCNABB – SEATTLE REIGN FC – MIDFIELDER
Season Stats – GP-GS: 18-10   Goals: 0   Assists: 0  Shots: 1   Minutes: 979
McNabb’s Seattle Reign club continues to hold the second spot in the playoff race after playing Chicago to a scoreless draw this past week. This week, the Reign host Houston on Tuesday night at 10:30 p.m. ET before hosting league-leading North Carolina at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday. 
 
BRITTANY RATCLIFFE – UTAH ROYALS FC – MIDFIELDER
Season Stats – GP-GS: 10-4   Goals: 2   Assists: 0  Shots: 3   Minutes: 366
Ratcliffe did not see action this past week for the Utah Royals, who return to action this week with a 7:30 p.m. matchup at Washington on Wednesday night. 
 
BECKY SAUERBRUNN – UTAH ROYALS FC – DEFENDER
Season Stats – GP-GS: 18-17   Goals: 0   Assists: 0  Shots: 1   Minutes: 1,540
Sauerbrunn got the start this past week for Utah as the Royals played Sky Blue FC to a 2-2 draw. This week, the Royals will face Washington on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. ET. 
 

EMILY SONNETT – PORTLAND THORNS FC – DEFENDER
Season Stats – GP-GS: 17-17   Goals: 1   Assists: 1  Shots: 2   Minutes: 1,485
Sonnett’s Thorns club played Chicago to a 2-2 draw this past week and holds the third spot in the NWSL playoff race. This week, the Thorns will host Sky Blue FC at 11 p.m. ET on Wednesday night before traveling to face the Washington Spirit at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday in a match broadcast by ESPNews.
