CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- Virginia senior Brent Demarest (Charleston, S.C.) earned an individual at-large bid for the NCAA Championships on Nov. 17 in Madison, Wisc., as announced Saturday by the NCAA.
 
Demarest led the Cavaliers at the NCAA Southeast Regionals, finishing sixth in the competition with a time of 29:56.7. He earned his second USTFCCCA All-Southeast Region honor with the finish.
 
Demarest paced the team throughout the season, leading Virginia to a fourth-place finish at the ACC Championships. He finished fourth with a time of 23:52.9, earning All-ACC honors. Demarest also recorded top 10 finishes at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown and the Penn State National Open, placing seventh (24:15.7) and sixth (25:05.3), respectively.
 
Demarest will join freshman Abbey Green (Bethesda, Md.) at the NCAA Championships. Green earned a berth to the NCAA Championships after finishing as the fourth-fastest runner not on an advancing team at the Southeast Regional, placing seventh overall.
 
The NCAA Championships will be held in Madison, Wisc., Nov. 17.
