Women’s Consolation Bracket

SURPRISE, Ariz. –The Virginia women’s doubles team of Meghan Kelley (Falmouth, Maine) and freshman Sofia Munera (Pereira, Colombia) will play in the consolation finals at the ITA National Fall Championships after knocking off the fifth-seeded doubles pairing on Saturday (Nov. 10)

The consolation finals will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday (Nov. 11)  at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex. The Virginia duo will face Martina Okalova and Vera Ploner of Tulsa.

Kelley and Munera defeated the fifth-seeded duo of Nina Khmeltickaia and Janet Koch of Kansas by a score of 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 (6) in the consolation semifinals.
 
It is the final action of the fall for Virginia who will return to action in January when the spring season gets underway.
