“Today was another good day for our divers as they continue to qualify for events at the NCAAs,” head diving coach Drew Livingston said. “Both Kylie (Towbin) and Bryce (Shelton) backed up their performance yesterday with a strong showing today, qualifying for their second events at NCAAs. Kylie deserves a lot of credit. She has put together two really dominant  competitions back-to-back at the toughest competition of the year. Kirsten (Parkinson) also deserves a lot of credit for closing out her career on a high note. She made a great comeback from injury this year. I hope we have more student-athletes like Kirsten on this team moving forward.

“We have a good opportunity tomorrow on the platform events to get even more out of this meet. We’re looking forward to stepping up and closing this zone meet on a high note.”

He topped his preliminary score of 334.25 in the finals, recording a score of 364.85 in the final six rounds of competition. Shelton advances to the NCAA Championships in the 3m dive by finishing in the top 12 of the event and qualifying for the NCAA Championships in the 1m dive on Monday.
